Cancellation and refunds

Bookings can be cancelled in writing by email to info@teslautad.hu. The cancellation fee is a percentage of the rental fee, based on the time remaining until the scheduled pick-up:

Refunds: the cancellation fee is deducted from the advance paid, and the remainder and the deposit are refunded within 8 days. For card payments, the refund is made to the same card and, depending on the issuing bank, appears within a few business days; any pre-authorised deposit is released. If the rental cannot go ahead for reasons on our side (for example, a technical fault of the car), we refund the full amount paid. If at pick-up you object to the technical, hygienic or cosmetic condition of the car, you may withdraw free of charge and receive a full refund of the amount paid. If at handover a condition on your side is not met (valid driving licence and ID, receipt of the fee and the deposit, fitness to drive), this counts as a cancellation within 2 days. Early return: the fee is recalculated for the period actually used, at the price tier for that period (for short rentals of up to 3 days, at the undiscounted daily rate). The cancellation rules above apply to the unused days, based on when you notify us. The 14-day right of withdrawal without giving reasons does not apply to car rental for a specific date or period (Section 29 (1) l) of Government Decree 45/2014. (II. 26.)).
